Classical dance forms of India, also known as Shastriya Nritya, come from the words, Shastriya meaning classical and Nritya meaning the act of dancing.

    4. Kuchipudi: This dance form is from the state of Andhra
Pradesh and is characterized by intricate footwork and graceful movements. It often includes storytelling and is performed in a group.

    5. Manipuri: This dance form originates from Manipur in North-East India and is characterized by its slow, graceful movements and delicate hand gestures.

    6. Mohiniyattam: This dance form originates from Kerala and is characterized by its graceful, flowing movements and expressive hand gestures. It often depicts themes from Indian mythology.

    7. Odissi: This dance form originates from the state of Odisha and is characterized by its fluid movements and intricate footwork. It often depicts themes from Indian mythology.

    8. Sattriya: This dance form originates from Assam and is characterized by its fluid movements and graceful hand gestures. It often depicts themes from the Vaishnavas tradition.
